I wanted to provide some of my own recommendations for each category- but belonging to none of these groups myself, that felt unnecessary when I could boost others' voices- so I linked to blog posts and articles from people I trust, or that I found helpful when curating my own list. I apologize if there are books on these lists that you don't feel are respectful representation, or don't list 100% #ownvoices recommendations. I am happy to listen and change my reading choices, as well as the links I have chosen.

There are also a lot of 2017 releases on my list, as a majority of my TBR this year (as seen here) are yet-to-be-published novels. This means a lot of this list has had very few, or in some cases, zero readers. Because of this, please keep in mind that there is no guarantee that these books are respectful representation of the categories I have placed them in, or that they are respectful representation of any other marginalized group(s) that they may contain. Again, I am happy to listen and change my list accordingly.
